    Restoring a 1993 R900

Nice looking bike. I don't know if there are any 1" carbon forks in current production. Ritchey shows on Holland Bike Shop's site as out of stock but might come back. Columbus Minimal is still available on ebay...

    Cannondale R500 CAAD 5 [2004]

I have several really nice 144 mm bolt circle diameter road cranks that are wall hangers because the smallest ring that fits is a hard to find 41t and that's closer to the big ring I'd like to run than the small. I still have lots of bikes with 52-53 big rings but they don't get ridden much...

    Cannondale R500 CAAD 5 [2004]

Maybe it's the lack of "windows" in it but it looks much bigger.

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

What railroad? Rails look kind of light compared to those on the local BNSF (originally CB&Q).

    Today we celebrate Aluminum!

I celebrated by mowing the cemetery on my farm. There's a War of 1812 vet buried there, so I always try to have it looking nice on holidays. Relatively few 1812 vets buried in IL - the next closest is 35 miles away.

Out of Commission for a While

Sounds like you are healing. Sorry to hear you still have pain. Hopefully the docs can help you out,

    DLR80 - DL80 - fatty - headshoks

As far as I know, all Headshok forks are aluminum. 80 mm travel is correct for the DLR80. I'd guess the difference is in the damping components but the catalogs in that era don't have much detail on the forks. Craig at Mendoncyclesmith might know. Do you have the original fork? Craig would...

    Should I keep or sell?

I would sell it if you don't like the design. Wondering if you've ridden one and what you don't like about it.

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

I would guess that the majority of wheels that I have purchased that had spokes damaged by contact with the chain were road bike wheels. Damage was often hidden by the cassette or freewheel prior to purchase. Road bikes are not immune to improper adjustment, or things going awry during a ride.

    New rubber

Longer brackets. drill new holes toward the front of the rack and/or bending the existing brackets where they bolt to the rack.

    1995 Killer V500

I have the same problem. I've been riding a Trek that has grips with a wide flat surface for the palm of the hand. Really comfortable compared to round grips.

    Sobe promotional

Looks to be in like new condition. Maybe a bit overpriced but doesn't seem unreasonable compared to new options.

    1998 Silk Path 300

I really like the 25 mm travel on my XS800. It's great for soaking up road shock on gravel and rough pavement. The same ride could be achieved with a bigger tire run at lower pressure but with an increase of tire weight and loss of efficiency.

2002 Jekyll 3000 Good Boy BB Threading

I might be interested in your XTR crank if it's in decent shape.

    1986 SR800

I had never seen one for sale. I didn't realize that ebony painted examples got black/gold Superbe Pro and Gran Compe components. Too small for me but tempting for the components...

    SR500 with "custom" graphics

Imron was used on 1987 Cannondales.

    1995 Killer V500

Great find. You could probably ride it with a long enough seat post but you might not like the saddle to bar drop. Hopefully someone in your family can ride it.

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

It's possible to start a ride with everything in proper adjustment but it only takes a fall, a stick, or other contact to mess it up. The number of rear wheels that have come my way with chain gouged spokes back me up on this. Most of my bikes don't have discs but I leave them on the ones that do.

    SR500 with "custom" graphics

The ST400 and ST600 were evidently available with graphics but I've never seen examples that had them.
