This has been my first and only bike purchased in March 1988. I road it for many thousands of miles and then life got busy and I saved it for a rainy day. I've been riding it on a trainer now for a while and decided to modernize the old and worn components. It now runs a 9-speed Ultegra groupset with the exception of some new Tektro R530 brakes. Rides better than ever before and looks as unique today as it did 24 years ago.

I aquired the bike a few years ago in a very bad state with the frame badly pitted, with no front wheel, have now cleaned and sprayed the frame, fitted new wheels, new Cannondale handle bars and saddle. I very happy with the result.

This bike has no serial numbers on the BB.
This one belonged to Brian Lopes. His initials are on the BB along with the date & year he rode foe Cannondale
Bought this bike end of 1988. It might have been the first Cannondale in Belgium. I used it mainly for Trial Biking and Trial demonstrations at Mountain Bike events.
It was sold after 5 years of heavy use and replaced by a large collection of other Cannondale's.
Last year I had an opportunity to buy it back from the second owner.
I am now hunting for parts to bring it back in its original configuration.
Parts needed are:
- Suntour XCD Crancks
- Suntour XCD Rear derailleur
- Dia Compte...
not to sure but i think it is a 1993 # is E L 7722 07572F5W19 i have searched to find one like it but have not found one yet any one know for sure what year it is ??
