Friend of mine had this bike sitting in his garage with busted tires and mostly everything out of wack. Offered him $200 for it but instead gave to me for free! Immediately Took the bike to my LBS for a full tune up/overall and got a set of new Kenda tires and tubes, new brake cables and pads, and now it is good to ride!

I bought this bike brand new in 1988 and took it to Peru for the summer. I rode it to well over 15,000 and won first place in some local competition.. (Nishiki Alien's were the other quality bike at the time)
I put the suspension fork on it and took the paint off in the mid 90's while living in Flagstaff, AZ.
Finally, last year I made the change that was really deeded; moved the rear brake mounts to use a cantilever instead of the original U-brake. Then built some new wheels, a few other...
This bike was supposed to be a quick clean and tune up for my wife to ride. Originally grey with pink decals, once I got into it, I found more corrosion than I was comfortable leaving. Sanded all the bad spots out, which took off about half the paint. Low quality paint left me with a finish I was not happy with. I stripped everything down to bare metal to start over, took a step back, and saw how cool it looked bare, showing the handwork of the blended tubes. Replacement decals from Vintage...

Bottom bracket code shows frame was produced in April 93. Has a Delta V fork, blobby welds
and that gusset behind the headtube.
