Got this free (thanks Steve!) as frame and fork. Added wheels and duraace cranks. 2x8 speed setup and fast, though it rides stiffer than modern bikes, it sure looks nice. Intialy set up with thealess stem an adapt, finally went back to a proper quill stem, drilled out downtube shifters, and drilled out 105 levers. Drilled out the 53/39 chainrins as well, and the headset spacer and rear rederaillier. Red alloy pulleys. Even with it's basic parts the bke rids great, and only wights 21 a...

This was taken out of its original box about 3 years ago. The only non original parts are the tubes, tires, and hand grips.

I got this bike new in 85 or 86. After looking through the forum, and on line, I think this is a special bike. I think its a pre-black lightening edition, but I would like to hear more from the group. It definitely never said \"black lightning\" on it. I have the original sew-ups and handle bars, so the complete original bike, I think. I think it is a SR1000. The serial number doesn't follow the notes in this forum. It is an 85, according to the serial number, but it is written like...
First bike I ever owned with a suspension fork....sadly it was stolen. So I bought a SUPER V 3000!!!
This is the ORIGINAL Super V 3000, the one that came with the curved Pepperoni forks and the titanium Syncros Pro post. After beating up the black/gray paint job, I had it powder coated white. The \"green\" airbrushed finish was a home done job. She is now in an unfinished, raw aluminum state.

I've been riding this bike for over 25 years. The hubs, BB, crank set, and most everything was installed summer of 1989. It's a rock solid bike. I still have fun riding it. The following are some of the parts I put on the bike: Phil Wood hubs and BB Cook's QP crank set Cook Brother's Racing stem and handlebars All Deore XT (XTR front derailleur)

My first \"real\" mountain bike, still with all my now old school upgrades. Currently undergoing a facelift; I never did like the factory color, going with a satin clear coat over the brushed aluminum, with black decals.
