I've been riding this bike for over 25 years. The hubs, BB, crank set, and most everything was installed summer of 1989. It's a rock solid bike. I still have fun riding it. The following are some of the parts I put on the bike: Phil Wood hubs and BB Cook's QP crank set Cook Brother's Racing stem and handlebars All Deore XT (XTR front derailleur)

My first \"real\" mountain bike, still with all my now old school upgrades. Currently undergoing a facelift; I never did like the factory color, going with a satin clear coat over the brushed aluminum, with black decals.

Daily rider! Bought second-hand at a local shop to replace an old Schwinn and for an intro to cycling / longer rides. I love it.

#141 of 300. Contact me if you had any other of these numbered Black Lightnings. Great bike. I moved back to aluminium because of this beauty.

Took her for a ride tonight for the first time since 2001. Absolute pleasure to ride. Thinking of selling her and upgrading, was just wondering if anyone would have any ideas on a price? Bike is in excellent condition, I have only ride it about 10 times. Thanks

This is an old touring bike that needed some TLC. I ended up stripping it down and powder coating the frame. Swapped out the rims, put a used dura ace 2x 9 drivetrain with indexed downtube shifters, new shimano brake levers and brakes with cables routed under the griptape, and a brooks saddle. The bike weighs a few pounds less now and rides like a dream. It's first long ride will be from Pittsburgh to DC on the greater allegheny passage trail.

I found her at a garage sale 3 years ago. He was asking $60. I haggled him down to $35. I could tell that she was ridden for a very short time, and then garaged for a long time. At that time I had A 26\" chrome GT with front suspension. I was initial plan was to get the Cannondale tuned up and make a few bucks off her. But when I got home all I did was apply some Tri-Flow and put some air in the tires, and I took her around the block. I never did ride that GT ever again. When I was...
