This is either a 1992 or 1993 Cannondale Police bike. Purpose built for Police use. Used STX drive train and Coda components. Grip shifters and bar ends stock. Cannondale rear rack also part of Police specs. Faster than it looks!
Best bike ive ever owned.. friend who ive always given bikes too calls me one night and asks if im interested in having a new main bike ,me and how I am says send a picture id like too see it . He tells me to go outside ,I look ,nothing he pulls up in a pick up and says I think youll like it , ive never seen one like this before .... this bike got through everything until the end of 2013-2014 winter and the frame just gave out . my uncle who is a bigger bike fanatic than me wants to buy it...

This is my 3rd Cannondale...this time i tried to reduce the weight. Light but reliable. The first of my bikes with discbrakes...it works perfect.
Got this free (thanks Steve!) as frame and fork. Added wheels and duraace cranks. 2x8 speed setup and fast, though it rides stiffer than modern bikes, it sure looks nice.
Intialy set up with thealess stem an adapt, finally went back to a proper quill stem, drilled out downtube shifters, and drilled out 105 levers. Drilled out the 53/39 chainrins as well, and the headset spacer and rear rederaillier. Red alloy pulleys. Even with it's basic parts the bke rids great, and only wights 21 a...
This was taken out of its original box about 3 years ago. The only non original parts are the tubes, tires, and hand grips.
I got this bike new in 85 or 86. After looking through the forum, and on line, I think this is a special bike. I think its a pre-black lightening edition, but I would like to hear more from the group. It definitely never said \"black lightning\" on it. I have the original sew-ups and handle bars, so the complete original bike, I think. I think it is a SR1000. The serial number doesn't follow the notes in this forum. It is an 85, according to the serial number, but it is written like...
