Looks like a CAAD3 to me. CAAD2 had a 1.625" (41.4 mm) constant diameter down tube. CAAD3 down tube increases to about 2.2" (56 mm) at the bottom bracket. Interesting that it has the threadless Time fork. The Saeco team used Time forks in 1997 but I'm not sure that they used threadless ones...

I used to have parts organized better but now they are scattered around in 5 locations and I never know where to look. Crown race removal can be difficult but it should be relatively easy on the Cannondale fork

1988 SM600, very cool. I will try to look for a parts derailleur. There are a couple on eBay that are in the $25-35 range but they may not want to ship to Canada. I know that I have several here, just need to find them.

The XCD is kind of unique in having that plastic piece on the mount. I haven't taken a close look but I'm guessing that there is less spring force in the mount pivot if the little plastic block is missing. If you have a 1989 SM800, I'd like to see it.

You can get a rough idea of the model by comparing the components to other F series bikes in the catalog.

Microshift, Dimension, Shimano, Sunrace and SRAM still have them but there isn't much of a selection for any brand, and many models are out of stock right now in the USA. I might have something on the shelf, depending. Also have a box full of NOS Uniglide cogs if you want to go that route...

I found several Edge and 4050 derailleurs here including a couple that are NOS. Unfortunately none are black. I have a couple of more places to look.

What year is your BL? They used different models of RDs depending on year.
