Hello all,

what is everybody using for MTB 7spd Cassettes?

looks like only SRAM is left with a cheapie version:

What are you guys doing for new 7spd cassettes?

I was messing with a used shimano, a tad worn and has the bolts out the back.. ugh.

would rather just go new...

I just installed the SRAM 730 to replace my original 13-30T on my M700. Works like a charm. I had no problem fitting it with the original Deore LX rear derailleur on the bike. I was a bit worried it might be 32T too big for it since I swapped in new front crank set with 44/32/22. Overall, I am extremely pleased with it and would recommend it.

Microshift, Dimension, Shimano, Sunrace and SRAM still have them but there isn't much of a selection for any brand, and many models are out of stock right now in the USA. I might have something on the shelf, depending. Also have a box full of NOS Uniglide cogs if you want to go that route. You'd need spacers from an old cassette. I believe that HG cogs and UG cogs are different thickness but I'd have to check. I do have NOS UG 7 speed cassettes but only road ratios.

Just looks like it is getting harder to find old stuff... 7spd cassettes and even 26" tires..

Bikeinn.com has a couple Sunrace 7sp cassettes listed as 'in stock' for under $10.

https://www.bikeinn.com/bike/bike-p...sc&fe=&pf=id_subfamilia=4047@talla=7s&start=0

The website has a slightly dodgy, I don't know.... feel to it, but I ordered some chainrings and a chain from them several months back. Price was good, but it took a little while to get the stuff. I think it's based in Spain? But with supply-chain issues, you've got to take what you can get where you can get it...

Cool thanks. I think I may take my chances with an old school Shimano. It is getting tough to find some parts..

and, "echoplex".... do you have an original echoplex?
