When I purchased the bike circa '90 or '91, it was billed as a 'T700', which would have been an 1988, but the serial number indicates frame construction in 1989. In 1990, cantilever brake studs were added, which this frame does not have. The crankset and derailleurs are original, as are the frame, fork, handlebars and seatpost. The mileage is so low, that I never replaced the gears. When I purchased the bike, it came standard with a Biopace triple crankset, however I had the shop swap...

I bought this bike from Caps Cycle in Vancouver in the fall of 1988, the only reason I bought it was the frame. Almost everything else that came on the bike was junk components. Caps was a large Vancouver chain store and they bought a bunch of these frames on the cheap, and then loaded them up with junk components. The first week I broke the poor quality fork, snapped it right off, so I bought the Tange fork to upgrade it. The bike has sat neglected for nearly 8 years, but now I'm on a...

I'm the third owner of this bike. It had been bought for a European vacation (which fell through) by the first owner, then passed on to a friend of his as a training bike. I've upgraded the wheels and added fenders and racks. Super stable - loaded or naked.

Frame and fork from a garage sale, and assembled from an assortment of on hand parts. It had been a shop trade-in by an international tri-athlete around '97 and had competed in Europe and Hawaii as well as the continental U.S.

I'm the bike's third owner and it's pretty original. Suntour Cyclone, except for a Suntour Sprint crank. I also upgraded the wheels to MA2 rims with Cyclone hubs, and Suntour click shifter levers.

The ultimate \"Boy Racer\" entry bike from back then. Good and stiff, and all Shimano 600 at a great price. Whoever raced it back then did a great job of stripping the decals and adding a couple of Shiner Beer decals as well as Racer X, Spaceman Spiff, and a flaming 8 Ball. A garage sale find, the tires had rotted off, and the tire bag had a Nashbar patch kit with a 1995 date on the sales tag - probably when the bike was last hung up to dry.
This is a bike I bought new from Campus Bike Shop in Columbus Ohio in May of 1987 when I was in seventh grade. Two weeks after I bought it, I wrecked and shattered my left forearm (both bones, all the way through ) and spent the next three months in a cast. Not fun. I got really into riding the following spring when I got hooked up with some older guys who showed me what was up. I kept the bike til about 94-5 when I sold it to a friend. I was really into mountain biking at the time, was...
