    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

Looks like a lot of mods made by the various teams, including one with a totally different body. I didn't see any cars that were not Trojan built, so apparently the model was strictly a customer car.

    Hub cones

Sounds good. I was thinking of ordering a couple myself, just to have on hand for spares.

I can't remember McLaren model history. Not sure if the M6B was strictly a customer car or one that Bruce and Denny used.

    Hub cones

I wouldn't have thought anyone would have a listing for 20+ used hubs of the same model. Sounds like someone sent you the wrong part. Perhaps the seller had a used one listed and mixed the orders up. What are you hearing from the seller?

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

As kids, we had a small 1/32 scale oval in the basement. I remember a Ford J car (GT40 variant) and a Chaparral roadster. I can't recall what else, but I know that I spent a lot of time with the Auto World catalog during grade school. I am pretty sure you could get a 1/32 slot car of Oscar...

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

I couldn't get your link to work. I thought the single seat Can Am cars were great. There were a bunch of interesting one-off cars, usually built on Lola, Chevron, or March formula cars. The series was basically killed by the Indy 500. Most of the top teams, drivers, and crew members...

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

I'd love to go back some time but it's been years since I went to a race. Mosport was the first race track I worked at - for the 2nd Can Am race in 1981. We did both races there in 1982 but I switched to the Trans Am series in 1983. We raced at Trois-Rivieres but there was no race at Mosport...

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

It's possible that there were significant import duties at the time as well. So that would have been another addition to the retail cost. On a trip to race a Can-Am car at Mosport in 1982, our transporter was thoroughly searched by Canadian customs agents. One of the crew had two or three...

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

Here's the 1990 USA dealer price sheet. I tried looking up the exchange rate in 1989 but didn't find it. I have a knack for entering the wrong wording when searching.

    Hi from Mississauga, Ontario Canada

That all checks out with a 1988 SM600. $1200 does sound like a lot. I bought a new 1989 SM800 on closeout at the LBS in 1990. I think I paid under $600 for it. Same 6 speed XCD group as your SM600.
