Ran a large black Topstone 4 through the system and came up with it in stock at 5 dealers in the Midwest. Ran it through in Mango and found it in stock at dealers in NY, UT, WA, and FL. So the system evidently works. Seems like it's going to be tough to find.

I ran it through the Cannondale dealer search but the site didn't show any in stock at MI, IL, WI, IN dealers. Just said call for availability. May try some other models and see if it does actually show some as in stock at a dealer.

Glad to hear that you found a workable pedal setup. The Shimano shoes look like they might be easier to clip in than most MTB shoes.

If you have rapidfire shifters I would stick with the same era XT front derailleur, that is: 8 speed. The newer 9 speed models may have been made for a different pull ratio. I think you would be safe with either M735 or M737 front derailleurs.

Assume that it sold locally. I can't imagine that it would remain unsold for long anywhere in the country at that price.

Yes, spoke prices are stupid throughout the spectrum but you're really going to pay for wheel specific spokes. Not sure if even Campagnolo specific spokes are $15 each though.

Glad you are OK. I think your bike may be a 1997 or 1998 as the 1999 F900 was a CAAD3 and yours is a CAAD2. Definitely aluminum. Is the photo after the collision? What all needs to be replaced?

I usually just go to the nail polish aisle at WalMart. Sometimes works well, sometimes not so well. Colors can look right in the bottle but be too thin to cover well or dry to a different shade. You might look through the paint codes here and see if Iris Blue is listed...

I think you mean seat tube diameter. It will take a 31.8 mm clamp (some manufactures label them 32 mm). Be sure to get a derailleur that is compatible with your shifter. Generally speaking, same brand and same era - probably 9 speed in 1999.

I might try to salvage that crank. Where did the spoke break? Spoke prices have gotten way out of hand. No more 25 cent DTs these days.

That head tube angle is one way to avoid toe overlap.

I'd probably be more interested in the SM500 just because of the size. I'm pretty sure it's a 1991. Frame and fork would be the same as my stolen SM800, only the paint is different.

Did you intall the Lefty and XT? Catalog shows a Fox fork and SRAM on the Prophet 2.
