    Cannondale F1000 (Year/Edition?)

Probably would be easier to find a pair of Shimano V brake levers. I have plenty of inexpensive new Tektro levers, which work fine. Believe XT 9 speed was M750, M760, M765, and M770. Any would work but if you want to match them, check the numbers on your derailleurs (stamped in back side)...

    1996 M900 Geometry?

I wasn't sure if Cannondale made those frames to take a suspension fork or not. The 1996 F200 and F400 had conventional suspension forks but they were CAAD2 frames. I don't have a P-Bone fork to measure. Check your head tube angle with the tires aired up and see how it compares to the 71...

    Cannondale F1000 (Year/Edition?)

Guessing it's a 1998 though black isn't shown in the catalog on an F1000. Believe the F1000 only had the CAAD3 frame in 1997 and 1998. Check the two letter code stamped in the BB shell for the build date. I would just try to find the matching brake lever and XT shifters and ride it as is...

    2002 F800 Coda Crank Question

Sheldon Brown lists most V1 Shimano triple cranks as needing 112-118.5 mm spindles. I would expect a 109.5 to be too narrow, though I don't know where to find specs for Coda. I have a few Coda triples but I think they are all square taper. Will check. I think it would be safest to go with...

    1996 M900 Geometry?

Geometry is on page 51 of the 1996 catalog, download it here: https://vintagecannondale.com/catalog/ I would think that a fork with similar axle to crown length and travel would be fine if you are happy with the handling of the bike as it is now.

    1990 SM400

I never thought about running a threaded fork threadless but I guess it would work as long as the stem is installed with some engagement on the unthreaded part of the steerer tube. Are you going to buy a threadless headset? You can drive the pins out of the cable guides and shake them out of...

    Help with Conversion

Does your stem have a two bolt removable face plate? I don't know what the maximum rise is on available handlebars but a removable face plate might be helpful getting it through the stem. You probably have the most rise available on Headshok stems, so there's not much hope on improvement...

    L.L. Bean?

I think all the MTB frames were the same in 1987 but there was a choice of 24" or 26" rear wheel on certain models, which obviously made for a different frame if only in geometry. Best way to equate it with a Cannondale branded model would be to list the components and compare them to the...

fresh find: 2 early mtbs Cannondale SM800

Very interested in the 20". Is it SunTour XCD? Too bad the paint isn't better. 1989 models didn't have model decals as I recall.

Wanted I am looking for a 1987 SR400 ,mint green ,with custom graphics, frame or entire bike 52 or 54cm

Sorry, all my frames are either 58 or 60 cm. You never know what might turn up so I'll keep it in mind.

    Wanted 63cm Road Bike

That looks to be a 1991 frame, sold only as a frameset in 66 cm. Essentially an SR or SC600 with the 105SC build.

    L.L. Bean?

Sure, if priced right. Looks to be in good shape, perhaps better than pictures show. I just payed $150 for a similar vintage Cannondale MTB in much rougher shape.

Wanted I am looking for a 1987 SR400 ,mint green ,with custom graphics, frame or entire bike 52 or 54cm

That's going to be a tough one to find. I think many more were sold in Slate with pink decals. I own a few 1987 road bikes but none of them have the custom graphics.

    ‘93 beast of the East

I have the same bike with pretty much the original LX build. Cool to see the Kooka crank and Ringle(?) stem.
