Are you committed to that model/year/color? As far as riding it goes, I'd think you'd be happy with a 3.0 frame which would likely be easier to find. They weren't painted coral though.

I'm not up on current Shimano, kind of surprised to see 8 speed. Pedals look nice. I've used similar Exustar pedals but the XTs look much lighter.

Yes, a 1987 SR400. It's quite rare to find an 80s frame in that kind of condition. How are you going to build it? Shimano 600EX would look great on that frame.

What parts are on it now? Except for the Mavic equipped 1992 R1000, all the road bikes in that era came with Shimano 7-8 speed groups. I have a few bikes with 8 speed Campagnolo. It works well and has the advantage over Shimano in that the Ergo shifters are rebuildable (and more reliable)...

Are you thinking of a bike with 650C or 700C wheel size? Cannondale made time trial frames with both wheel sizes at the time. I don't know what the team used but I'd guess 700C. In 2001 the frame would have been a CAAD4. I don't have a better scan of the 2001 catalog, but I have a print copy...

I can't answer one way or the other. Gazelle bikes and frames turn up here, but I don't recall them ever being offered for sale by a US retailer. It's certainly possible that they were sold here by a company that I was not aware of.
