    Delta V 1500 (hard tail)

Not too often that a bike is original down to it's smallest parts. Other than an upgrade to an XTR V-brake and pedals, this looks to be all original. Grips, handlebar, Vetta SL saddle, shifters, etc...

Delta V 2000 Headshok headset bearings - help please!

I don't know the part number of the tool, but there's one that you place on top of the steerer tube assembly that clears the adjuster/Shraeder air valve and you smack it with a hammer, which drives out the whole assembly. Obviously, you remove the stem and, if the bike is old enough, loosen the...

Delta V 2000 shock adjuster tool

If black lightning can't find one, I'll be able to make one for you, as I'll need to make one for myself for my Delta V 2000.

    1991 SE1000

This is the bike that got me hooked on Mountain biking and Cannondale and so it means a lot to me. They're a significant part of mountain bike history too. They're worth saving. And boy, when it's done, I'm going to ride the wheels off of it! :)

Delta V 2000 Headshok headset bearings - help please!

In my reply to Guy, the fork I have, I have completely disassembled it and will post info and photos at a later date. It's an incredible piece of engineering that is even more amazing considering what was available at that time. Even their later models of forks are a step down compared to this...

Delta V 2000 Headshok headset bearings - help please!

My apologies, I misread your post and didn't read the 60mm reference, nor did I see the difference in proportions to head cup size in your photo. This "Type 1" Headshok fork went through variations during it's brief production run. The fork I have for reference I bought separately and I believe...

    1991 SE1000

Well, the holidays were too busy and I didn't touch the swingarm until now. I ground down and sanded smooth the welds from the removed, cracked chainstay bridge and prepared the new bridge for welding. Both the pivot and dropouts are held in place to keep their dimensions in check, to prevent...

Delta V 2000 Headshok headset bearings - help please!

These early headsets used bearings in INCH sizes, not the typical metric dimensions. They are type B543-2RS (and are also known as 397508-2RS). They'll be listed in metric dimensions of 50.8mm x 39.7 x 7.14mm (which corresponds to 2" x 1 9/16" x 0.28"). If you're located in Switzerland, these...

    1991 SE1000

I welded up the head tube crack and installed the reinforcement patch. The crack welded up nicely, without any debris or contamination bubbling out (a good sign it was thoroughly cleaned out). After welding the crack, I ground it down so the reinforcement patch would fit tightly to the frame...

Delta V Omega - Yahoo! Japan Auctions

It's in rough shape and most non-spec components, but it is one of the rare Delta V Omegas (#6 of 75). No affiliation with this auction, I just found it on one of my searches: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/x512710980

    POLL: to vintage or not.

If by vintage you mean 26" wheel size for mountain bikes, then yeah, I'm totally into that! I know never say never, but I don't know if I'll really get into 27.5 or 29 bikes in the future. I understand the theory behind the larger sizes but to me, this has been totally driven by marketing...

    1991 SE1000

I also worked on the head tube crack reinforcement gusset by creating a paper template. It's somewhat heart-shaped except with no sharp points or edges. I'll trace it out on the piece of tubing which will hold that curved shape to the frame tube. It's wall thickness is 0.060" and it, along with...

    1991 SE1000

Okay, so the project continues. I worked on cutting out the cracked chainstay bridge on the rear swing arm. It explained a lot once it was cut out. First off, the tubing is super thin - approximately 0.032" wall thickness! It also appears the fit up was quite sloppy! Instead of the tube being...

    1985 ST400 on ebay

They did. I had only seen a couple posted on ebay during my searches last year when I was building up my ti road bike (looking for other items). Campy also had set-ups like this. I'm sure there was a purpose to this specific gearing range, but, admittedly, I don't really get it. Judging how it...

    1991 SE1000

Yes. You will find a small hole (that is covered by a small plastic cap) above this axle, which will allow you to insert a pin (of a suitable size, like another Allen key) into a corresponding hole in the axle. This will lock it in place and you will be able to remove the other screw. See my photos:

    1991 SE1000

Black Lightning is correct, you need a 7/32" Allen key. It is best to have the correct size key, as these bolts tend to be tightened with Loctite and can be difficult to loosen. A poorly fitting key may strip out the hex in the bolt. The bolts are inch threads, which measure 3/8"-16 and they...

So, what is the size of the tiny "anti-lawyer" drop-out screws on Pepperoni forks?...

    1998 Super V 600 Updgrades

Yes, that is a sweet photo and it looks like that San Andreas was well-spec'd (as well as your Delta V)!

    1991 SE1000

No, the BB is a conventional, 68mm wide BSA thread (so RH and LH threading) and I already have one for it. It is the rear suspension pivot shell that is a continuous, right-hand thread all the way through (and is only 45mm wide). It is the same size as a BB thread and my tool does fit in there...
