1987 Cannondale SR500 (63cm) I picked up on Craigslist off a guy in Long Island. He kept it in beautiful shape and it was great to ride with the 105 components. Then I ripped everything off, put on a 2013 SRAM Force groupset, quill stem converter with a new stem and Ritchey bars, Ritchey seatpost, and a new rear wheel. The original front wheel remains.
Absolutely love my new bike. Have done a few upgrades on it. Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels, SiSl 2 Crank, Fizik Kurve Snake saddle, 3T Bar and Stem. This bike rides like a rocket !
This has been my first and only bike purchased in March 1988. I road it for many thousands of miles and then life got busy and I saved it for a rainy day. I've been riding it on a trainer now for a while and decided to modernize the old and worn components. It now runs a 9-speed Ultegra groupset with the exception of some new Tektro R530 brakes. Rides better than ever before and looks as unique today as it did 24 years ago.

Bought this off my pastor. Not sure where he got it from. It needed some basic cleaning up but it rides well. I've serviced the hubs and put a new chain on it. Other than that and some cleaning that's about it. It has all the original components except the shifters, which have been converted to grip shifters on the end of the handlebars. The most recent addition to my collection. Bought from an estate auction in almost pristine condition. Despite the dust and grime, I couldn't tell if it had ever been ridden at all! MY first Cannondale. Traded a 1988 Centurion Sport DLX for it 1995. It was in sorry shape mechanically, but I had the LBS bring up to rideable. Rode it like hell for a while and crashed (spent three days in the hospital with surgically repaired tibia). Fork, headset, wheels, bar, stem, bottom bracket had to all be replaced.
