This was my very first Cannondale that I purchased at The Bicycle Shop in State College, Pennsylvania in 1989.
Whilst have I have bikes that are newer, this is still great fun to ride and goes like a rocket!!

The final year aluminum Cannondale ever made, in the USA. Great handling bike, with Shimano Ultegra 6600 gruppo and Mavic Ksyrium SSC/SL3 wheelset. The rare, 310g Si fork is hand-made by TIME, in France. Did my very first Century, on this bike. Weighs 17.66 pounds/7.8kg, as shown.

Rare Helen's Cycles/LaGrange Velo Club paint scheme is one of 50 made, in 2007. Weight with Look KEO Carbon ti pedals, is 15.77 pounds/7.15kg. With tapered full carbon steer tube and one-piece, High-Modulus carbon front triangle and CAAD9 rear - this bike is still stiffer than:

This 58cm Black Lightning was the 3rd bike built at the Bedford, Pennsylvania factory on February 27th of 1989. It's in pretty original condition except for the seat post handle bars and crankarm chainrings. I'm planing on switching out the seat post to a black carbon fiber one but was wondering if any of you know what handlebars were used on this bike and if they could still be purchased.
