I bought this bike brand new from Joe at the bike shop in Cocoa Beach, Florida, in September of 1991. I used most of my second paycheck from my first "career" job after college; it came to around $550. Over the next 20 years, I put about a zillion miles on it, many of them on the beach in Cocoa Beach/Cape Canaveral, but I did take it to Europe with me in 1992. It pretty much went everywhere I went.

This is my Prophet at the top of Bottom Lip Hill in Cheshire England beginning of this week. The last time I rode this trail was over ten years ago when I used to be able to do what I wanted when I wanted #no kids!!
This is a 2003 CAAD 7 R2000 I found on consignment at local shop. The owner wanted $1000 and didn't accept any lower offers for the last 2 years. I offered $500 and he took it. I replaced tires/tubes immediately along with my seat and pedals.
