    1986 SR400

I have a new modern Selle Italia saddle that is white with blue trim. I don't have much in it.

    1986 SR400

Good to see that nice old bikes still turn up for little cost.

    It's a mystery T600/ mystery solved.

I agree. I have heard that folks currently at Cannondale use this site but I have not noticed any postings that mention it. I've always wished we had some participation from employees, especially those from the USA years who could answer questions about specifications and paint.

    It's a mystery T600/ mystery solved.

I'd guess there are some out there in Champagne. I don't see any other models that used the color. Seems unlikely that they would have painted only one frame for the catalog, then discarded the color.

    Dead of my frame ???

I have a couple of frames here but both probably need repainting. Shipping cost is probably prohibitive.
  8. 1985 ST400

    1985 ST400

I can't remember much about what parts came with this when I purchased it several years ago, except it had the original Shimano 600 45/50 crank and brake calipers. I added 7 speed indexed bar cons, Fir tubular rim wheels and knobby 33 mm tires. I just use it for rides that involve some...

    It's a mystery T600/ mystery solved.

I can't see the graphic well enough. My guess is that it's an alternate color that was introduced after the catalog came out. I didn't go beyond the 1994 catalog, but I think 1992 may have been the last year for down tube shifters on the touring bikes. After that they generally had bar cons.

    Dead of my frame ???

I've not seen that before. My only guess is a flaw in the tubing when it was new. Looks like a really nice bike otherwise and lots of valuable parts on it. Will the seller take it back or give you a partial refund? Those frames are not too hard to find. Perhaps you can find a replacement...

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

Those are new to me. Beaver seem to be less of a problem around here lately. 20 years ago it was common to hire dams dynamited to keep streams from flooding farm land. Haven't heard of any issues recently.

    1987 SR400 Team Comp

56 cm is what I would guess. I'd say paint and decals are original on both bikes.

    1988 Team Crest SR500 Cannondale

Bikes are a hard sell in winter but it's unusual to see asking price go up with the temperature.

Unknown 1998 CAAD2, please help identify.

Good point. I saw the disc rotor and just assumed it was a disc brake fork

Looks like it might be the same size as the first one.

Interesting that the price has gone up. Anticipation of spring?

So a 20" frame made on the 4th of August 1986.

    Highest touring model seen

Thanks for the list. There are more touring models than I remembered. I don't recall ever seeing a T/ST600 or T800. The registry is an interesting idea but the number of submissions we would get would hardly scratch the surface of Cannondale's production. We have the gallery for Cannondales...

Unknown 1998 CAAD2, please help identify.

It's a 1999 but the model may not be something that we can determine. The closest bike I found in the USA catalogs was the 2000 F700. It had a front disc brake and rear V brake, but it was a CAAD3 frame. Your bike is a 1999 because of the head tube decal style, and 1999 was the first year for...

    Cannondale History

What size do you need? I have a couple of Silk Road framesets in the basement. No idea what shipping would cost. I have two Silk Roads built up. Here's the first one I purchased, a 1996 SR500. It's built for all surface use, with wide range gearing and 27 mm cyclocross knobby tires.
