    That I have?

I honestly think it's a Cannondale prototype. I don't see anything in your pictures that is inconsistent with the way Cannondales were made. A friend that was on a USA Cannondale team told me that he used to get frames that were not in production, so we know at minimum that frames exist that...

Volvo Cannondale Team Replica colour code.

Are you wanting to build a replica? I have the team blue paint on a 1999 R4000. It would take me a while to get to it, but I could take it somewhere to be matched. Can you buy PPG paint in the UK?

Volvo Cannondale Team Replica colour code.

Wish I could. All I can tell you is that the color was called Team Blue. My guess is that there is a record of paint codes at Cannondale HQ, but persuading someone to look one up might be challenging. On the plus side it's a simple color, no metallic or any other treatment in the clear coat...

    That I have?

I am guessing that it's not a production Cannondale. Construction looks similar though. I can't see the dropout area in the picture. Cannondale used cantilever dropouts on their road frames from 1989 to 1996. Cannondale was looking to get into European cycling in that era. I know Banesto...

    Team Saeco Cannondale Caad4

I'm not sure why, but Saeco replica frames didn't have a model number decal (at least some years), even though they might have had a model number in the catalog. If you look at the 1998 catalog, the Saeco bike is shown as R4000, but there is no model number on the frame.

    Norway or no way

I agree, would like the CAADX even more if it had been made in Bedford. Stay in touch relative to Serottas, and consider participating at the paceline forum. https://forums.thepaceline.net/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=3 It was formerly the Serotta forum. Lots of good folks there...

    WTB : 1987 Road bike SR 600

True about the upper end of the 1987 road line, but the lower end models had different geometry. I didn't take the time to examine the charts, but I think the main difference is head tube angle. I'm guessing that everything else is the same.

    Norway or no way

Hi John, Nice post. Like you, I was first attracted to the brand by its "Made in USA" status. I bought a new 1989 SM800 in early 1990 from On Two Wheels in Moline IL. OTW also sold Trek, who were still making most of their line in the US at that time. Though I've owned a few Treks since, I...

    WTB : 1987 Road bike SR 600

That was my first Cannondale road bike. I still have it but repainted it (with leftover dark red paint from my 1966 Oldsmobile) in the early 90s when the pink paint started to blister. I have a really nice 58 cm pink frameset that I plan to put back all original if I can ever locate all the...

    That I have?

Serial number might help. It looks like a time trial frame to me but I don't recall seeing a similar frame previously. Aluminum fork? That would put it 1989 or later. If the decals are original, I would guess 1989-1991.

2000 Jekyll: Fox Float RC Lock Ring

Glad you have made progress on most of the issues. Not sure of what locknut you are missing. Perhaps draw an arrow on the point where it goes.

    Team Saeco Cannondale Caad4

The seat stays are the only difference between CAAD3 and 4. I can't tell from the picture which stays your frame has but CAAD4 are hourglass shape, CAAD3 straight. There is no difference between models of CAAD4 road frames except paint and decals. Forks could be different between models. Is...

    Team Saeco Cannondale Caad4

No CAAD4 frames for the 1998 model year, so that's a 1999 model. It could have been sold as a frameset and built up with the current parts, or it could have been an R5000 on which the parts have been replaced. What model are the shifters? The mixed Campagnolo parts should all work fine...

    Help identifying Cannondale model

Half step gearing with a granny. Big rings are usually something like 45/50, small ring 26 or 28.

    Help identifying Cannondale model

I think it's a 1988 ST400. Lots of variation from catalog spec on components but the original owner could have specified changes upon the original purchase, and 30 years have gone by since then.

    2x2

I'd say the 2X2 designation is pretty much meaningless, just marketing. I've always wanted one of those - thinking that with a drop bar they'd make a perfect all surfaces road bike. Cannondale didn't make a CX frame at the time. I'd be happy to find a nice one in my size for € 200.

    2.8 Version Identification

Looks like you have it pinned down, a 1992 R900. I checked my '92 R1000 and it has the same stamp in the right chainstay as your R900. I'm guessing it was used to identify the frame type before it got painted. I would expect all 1992 2.8 frames to have the same stamp, and all '92 3.0 frames...

Headshock Super Fatty - first attempt on service

I think you have the dates right: built in July 2000 for the 2001 model year. Just like cars, new bike models are sometimes rolled out 5 months before the start of the new year. Craig (MendonCycleSmith) is the guy to talk to about Headshok rebuilds. Great photos, hope you will post more as it...
