    1996 R600

I like the colors. I don’t know much about the RX100 gruppo. If it is a 56cm frame I wouldn’t mind tinkering with this one for my wife. But looking at the head tube it might be much smaller. Not sure. It’s listed for $150 and is a 25 day old ad, so probably would take less. 96 R600

    Is this OCD?

Yes. I discovered I botched the install on the non drive side one. That’s what I get for “eyeballing” them…;) Now that I’ve thought more about it, I can’t hang pictures on the wall either. At least, not without my wife’s help. ;)

    Is this OCD?

Of course it is. But I just can’t get a saddle straight. Asymmetric eye sockets. Or something. I can’t drill a straight hole either. Roll your eyes. Laugh out loud. It’s ok. My only other option that I have resorted to (more than once) is I have to ask my wife “is my seat straight?” :)

I hate it when that happens…

Finding a previously installed Helicoil the hard way. How about you?

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

Bought the Garmin Edge 540 with the bundle; speed & cadence senors, HRM-Dual heart rate monitor. I rode with it all yesterday. It took me a bit of fumbling to set it all up. I still have to tweak the main screen setup. The HRM worked as advertised. I’d say the old formula of 200-age is...

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

I just got one! And I'm learnin' myself how to set it up. I shall give a report in the next few days. I don't remember what my max heart rate was 30+ years ago. I never gave it much of a thought. Even when my coach was having us runners find out what it was. I ran on perceived effort. Not...

    MT. Tandem

My tentative sales pitch to Mrs.Idaho; “This would be a great bike for us! We can be riding together more. And we’ll look like a great couple at the campgrounds this summer!” ;)

    MT. Tandem

I’ve never looked for chains and cables for a tandem but I also don’t recall any for sale. This one is probably like a lot of tandems I’ve seen for sale. Low mileage. Would only need tires ‘n tubes and hub service. That drag brake on the rear wheel is interesting. I don’t recall that component...

    MT. Tandem

Normally I wouldn’t give a tandem much thought while looking at classifieds. Because they’re usually very highly priced. This one isn’t terrible at $400. And I believe it’s big enough at 22” for the ”stoker”. Very nice shape for a 1995. I like the color. Pretty cool huh? MT1000

    CAAD4 Team Saeco

The “LB“ on your BB is in a different spot than indicated for year on the serial number page. But it matches: L=2000, B=February. I’m not an expert decoder but I’m 99% sure you’re correct on the 56 on the BB being 56cm. Nice bike!

    Lost in colour.

Blue is my favorite color. So I vote blue. For black decals it would have to be on the lighter side of blue to show up well. A metallic light blue would be neat. I don’t know how to paint but I think I’ve read that painting a metallic is difficult.

I Hesitate to Post This One....

Looking through the 97-99 catalogs; The black one looks to be a CAD2 R200 The blue one also appears to be CAD2 logo in the photo. The top tube cable guides are in a different position compared to the black one. I can’t find a catalog picture that matches a particular model. Yet.

I Hesitate to Post This One....

Nice find! I’m kinda burnt out on builds. But when I see these photos I can envision in my mind how each of those frames would look once complete. And you’re right, that group set would be a great buy. I wonder if a fork could be found on ebay for that blue frame? I wonder if either the blue...

Where did you ride your Cannondale today?

Yes, really Jon. It read, to me at least, that you were knocking on Deaths’ door. The inspiration is that it seems you’re not going out of this world without a fight. I don’t have any diagnosed health issues. But I am 56. Statistically I’m past the halfway point of being alive on Earth. I...

    1991 SM700 - value?

I think I am a poor judge of value but I would have to say being a 700 series your bike is going to be a more desirable model due to higher end components for the time period. And it does look to be in fantastic condition. Your location and the popularity of mt. bikes around you would influence...
