The frame is a 2000. (L) is the date code. It looks like the original paint was a red or brownish. If you look thru the 2k and 2001 catalog to best match the color. and measure frame geometry. basically right now you have a blank slate... do you have the parts to rebuild the fork?

Best is to measure it. Pre 93 the size is direct on the frame. post 93, it is stated sometimes. ;)

That frame has lots of life left. If you can grab it (if its your size), post a photo of it and and we can see what direction to go.
