I bought this new in early 1995 and still use it today. I haven’t ridden a bike yet that accelerated faster than this one does.
Another great Ebay find. Hardly ever rode and sat in a garage for about 15 years until I brought it in 2012.
This bike was repainted creamy -yellow immediately after buying as R1000 frameset in 1995.
Rose mark is one of my trade-marks because this is arranged as \"ROSE THORN\" in uniform of my road race team.
With this bike, I used to get high prizes in road time trial races, for example SHIMANO SUZUKA.
I exchanged MAVIC bullhorn handlebar to normal shallow type drop handle bar, and started hard and basic training for win!
I recently bought this on eBay, and fixed it up. I'm apparently at least the third owner. The first owner used this on triathlons, resulting a bunch of energy drink stains all over the top and bottom tube. I think throughout the ownership transfers, parts were removed. Annoyingly, I'm not even sure of whether it is an r1000 or a r900. Ironically, without the model badge, it is impossible to distinguish. Anyways, a lot of parts are from a r900. Shimano 105 all over, with sun mavic rims on...
Just picked it up.. Spotless condition, seems to be a mix between an 800 and a 2000. It has the 800 color scheme but a mixture of components not mentioned in the brochure of that year..But are not a natural upgrade path, for example FSA Gossamer crank, Mavic cxp33 rims with cannondale wind hubs.. Ultegra front and rear derailleurs and omega brakes... sme aero seatpost and specialized stem
