What is a Cannondale Jekyll 3?

Hello everyone, I'm Rick. I'm from central Arizona. I'm a retired sailor. Today I picked up a Cannondale Jekyll 3 frame from Craigslist for $50.
I'd like to know what it is, how old it is, and what components will fit on it!

Decent full-suspension mountain bike, if you can find the rear shock and a fork for it. Probably used a Headshok; I don't know if they offered it with the Lefty.

Yep, that's the bike.

I'm curious if anyone knows why the suspension components seem to be...unavailable. Were they proprietary to that model bicycle?

For it and the same generation of the Cannondale Trigger. Other than the rear shock being difficult to find, it's even more hard to find a shop willing to service it. Neither Fox or Cannondale will. It is for that reason that I passed on a 2013 Jekyll locally that they wanted 500 for. You CAN occassionally find the Fox DYAD on e-bay from time to time if you are persistant. Finding shock mount hardware, brake adapters, bottom bracket... etc are very time consuming to find.

The problem is, the shocks on that particular vintage of Cannondales were pull shocks, not the usual push, and very few other manufacturers made that decision. Thus, the selection isn't great, and replacing it with something else would require a complete re-engineering of the suspension linkages.

The man I bought this from texted me today. He'd found what he believed are the wheels and handlebar for this Jekyll. He told me his brother has always been a 'flipper'. He thinks his brother bought this bike and stripped it to sell parts. He is helping his brother empty a storage unit, and will be going back in next week. He told me he remembered seeing more bike stuff towards the back of the storage unit; if anything is for the Jekykll he'll let me know.
So now I have wheels and a handlebar!

They say "Welded", "Sun/Ringle", and "Inferno25". The tires are old Schwalbes.

Those certainly look like the correct wheels since Cannondale would have definitely used white hubs on the bike. Can't tell from the picture if the front hub is from a Lefty fork or not. The real good news is that the rear thru-axle is there as well as the disc brake mount. Let's pray that somewhere in the stash of parts is the rear shock. That is going to be the hardest thing to find TBH.
