Vintage F1000

Hi everyone,
This is my first post, so bare with me? My very first MTB was a Cannondale...it was Mango, I can't remember exactly which one. But in any case, it was stolen. I've since been riding a road bike, but my kiddos are getting into MTBing and we live right on a pretty fun trail. I really can't get into any of the newer bikes, and I don't want to spend a TON since I mostly road bike. Anyway, I found this and I'm like, head over heels in love with it. The guy wants $800...which is kind of more than I want to spend. What do you think its worth?

Looks to be all original, even the tires, and in very nice shape. Recent ebay sales have been running $500 and up for complete F bikes. A slightly newer disc brake F700 recently sold for $795. I'd say that with patience you could land one for less than $850, but you may not find one that nice with XTR for much less.

I think $800 may be towards the high end but nice framesets have sold in the $375 range, so it's hard to imagine putting one together for a lot less. If the bike were a little closer to me and a size or two larger, I'd be taking a hard look at it myself.

That's exactly what I offered him but he isn't into it. Haha. I told him to let me know if it doesn't sell. I love the color so much.
