I used to have a Cannondale black and white , I think it was called Harry o , with a triangular head badge , the front brake cable went through the bar stem . I wonder how rare it was as I’ve not seen another on google

Either of these two? They are the only "black and white" models in the years of the triangle head badge (90-96). Both are 1990 models.

I feel the same about a lot of stuff.
Do you live in USA ? Also how did you find out about this “ Harry o “ person ? The paint work on it was excellent , it was black / white fade from front to back , fading in the centre of frame . The group set was shimano / camp something

Yes, I live in the United States; close to the middle of the continent. I found my information just by typing "Harry O" on a Google search. Pictures of bicycles came up, all on a website called Pedal Room out of Denver, Colorado (USA). On this website I found out a fellow named Harry Rowland, who looks to have gotten his start in the 1970's (including building the wheels for the 1976 Canadian Olympic Team), seams to have modified various bicycles (maybe in a shop he owned?) back in the 1980's. He currently specializes in wheel building and is reported to "be the best in Southern England." He is in Ramsgate, Kent.
I'm posting screen shots of what I found. If you contact Harry, please share whatever you find out. I wouldn't mind writing him myself; it's a very interesting story. Thank you for bringing it about. At first I thought that your query was going to be a dead end since you had few facts, but maybe Harry has a good memory and might be able to say exactly what the bike that you owned was originally, and something about its history. Or better yet: maybe he has a photo album of his work! That would be great!!

Keep the stories coming.
