Shimano FDs are quite specific once you get beyond the 9 speed era. Sounds like you have it sorted out.

Well... first ride on any bike in about a week and a half. Was going to take out the De Rosa at the last minute I just had to take this out and see if all the work on it paid off. And it did, for sure! Today was a 25 mile ride with some swirling winds yet this bike finally felt fast and responsive. The drivetrain felt so much better without none of the pedaling through mud feeling I had been having with it. Ran a very respectable 19.4 mph avg on this one despite starting out easy and then backing off the pace a bit the final couple of miles. The new cassette wasn't a big change in gearing but this ride I finally felt like it was easy to find the right gear for what I needed at that time. Very happy with the performance of this now but if I'm being honest the ride is harsher than the Klein and all my steel bikes. Maybe the incoming tubulars will smooth it out a bit.
Glad to hear that it's working out. I would think that tubulars will help the ride. When I ride them I often find myself looking down to see if they are going flat. I can't recall if I have any on Cannondales, will have to look around.
This is turning into pure madness. Got the tubular rims and tires in. The weight is now 15 lbs 14 ozs. The weight weenie illness if taking over big time though. I'm now thinking I really do need to swap the Ultegra RD for the Dura Ace 7800 RD and could I save another oz or two by sourcing a Shimano 7850 crank for this. Stop the madness!!
I do think the more subtle wheels quiet the look of the bike down a bit. It's such a busy looking beast .

I would never have guessed that you could get it down to 15 lbs. How much did the new wheels and tires save? Details on the wheels?

Flip the stem over and slam the seat forward if you want to make the most of the racey geo. You will get more power to the road that way.

They new Mavic Ksyrium Pro Carbon SL Tubular Road Wheelset with Veloflex Arenberg tubulars. The wheels are around 1190 grams but have rider weight limit of around 260 lbs. I'm surprised it's so light too. Not really anything left practically that'll take more weight off. No should it really matter.
LOL, that a good way to mess this ol' geezer's body up. I have 5 blown discs in my lower back and both knees are bone on bone. I have a specific fit that I use on all my bikes to allow me to ride pain free. Not messing with that at all!
