Tinker Juarez's Team Road Bike

Hey guys,

I recently got Tinker Juarez's team road bike from the mid-2000s in some horse trading. It is too small for me, I had hoped my wife would be into it but she has a super comfortable commuting bike and isn't into it. The guy that I got it from was a collector and I promised not to break up the bike when I made the deal.

Unfortunately if my wife isn't into the bike I don't have a use for it. I am hoping someone here might know more about the bike and have an idea what it might be worth. It is in great condition and rides amazing, I took those pics in a parking lot on the way out for a ride, but a 54 is just not useful for me. Wish Tinker had been taller!!!

Any suggestions or information is very much appreciated.

Hope you all had a great Labor Day weekend!

Wow! For a value to sell, it is hard. This is a 1 of 1. If you took off the name, it is just a road bike the same as others.

If you are selling it, I would figure out shipping, and post it on ebay with a high value and see what happens.

a bike that you'll probably get only once in a life... maybe a rare item – if it really was ridden by juarez.

it's not 100% original 'factory setup', right? if it's really from juarez, did he changed the components? and the condition of the coating is not the best anymore. but as brian said, it's unique and has maybe a kool history.

here in germany those rare bikes are offered for several thousand €uro. but till you find 'the right' person who really is interested... just an example, a CAAD7. one of only 300 items worldwide. some months ago someone has sold such a blacklightning-bike for ~2000€.

i'd give it a good service. disamble it. clean it. get it together again... make it look more convincing. and make it public on different places at the internet, as you did here. and after some time i'd do it like brian said. high prized on ebay with shipping. and keep it long time high prized. even when someone is bidding a lower, but reasonable prize :)

I know, it's a strange one. I know guys collect these bikes but just have no experience with them. I wish I could ride it!

Right on, I agree it needs a good clean up before selling. My understanding is that it sits as Tinker rode it with the exception of the seat and of course the pedals.

I appreciate the ad as it least it gives me some kind of general price range. I am told the Juarez sticker with the American flag on it is the proof it was an actual Tinker bike. Maybe I should hit him up on FB and see if he remembers it!

Thanks a lot for the replies guys, it is appreciated!
