Been busy working in the restoration business and playing with trucks lately but still manage to get out and ride one of the Super V's I love.
Hard to believe the drop barred 1995 V700 is now 28 years young.
I'll drop in as much as I can to maybe help when I can with answers.

Good to see you are still with us Geoff. I haven't done the math but I suspect that the average age of my Cannondales is around 30 years. In a couple of years I will be able to ride one that's 40. Don't know if I will still be riding when it reaches 50 but it's nice to think I might.
