Made a galery for this bike but it is not finished
Started to change the stem en steer for a 600 shimano with cinelli bars
Fixed a flite sadle wich i still had
The 600 group is in exelent shape
The wheels also 600 with super ligt wolber rims
The bike stood for al long time because it was missing the shifters and bosses
Took care of that this morining

I love the collor, never seen a racer this early (first year??) in the Netherlands before
Was wondering how many were imported in 1985
Have to get rid of that dealerdecal
Why are they always so hard to remove (and in places where you don,t want them) :)

I don't mind the dealer decal just because it adds to the history of the bike. Would have been better placed on the down tube near the bottom bracket though.

Looks like you have a Shimano and SunTour mix right now. I didn't look the bike up in the catalogs. What did it come with and what direction are you going with the build?

The 105 derailleur has to be swapped out
I put some 600 padles on
Idea is to go for 600, the group parts on the frame are like new......
Original was suntour (cranck and seatpost seem to be original)
It is all period correct.
Were they even exporting bicycles in the second year of production?
Might have been a frameset

I suppose it's possible that some were imported early on. Cannondale had been making accessories for some years and may have already had European dealers when they started making frames.

600EX is nice stuff. I have a storage bin full of it if you need anything. It's not clear whether you are trying to keep the build correct for 1985, but the 6209 brake levers and 6208 shifters and derailleur were not introduced until late in 1986 for the 1987 model year bikes.

Makes it more logical that it was a frameset
for now i go for a classic look and drivabillity :)
The coda stem defenetly had to go but i kind of like the combination with the rest.
And it is all just like new

Rims look great. It's hard to find specific year data on Wolber, but I know that they had changed the Alpine to the Alpine T-430 (yellow lettering) by 1987.

When i picked up the bike the guy i bought it from was cleaning out his shed.
When i told him i collect vintages bicycles he gave me a ritchey logic cranckset that he had laying around.
Totaly original with decals in goodshape :)

Good to know about the rims, i alwas thought these were rims for cyclocross or for a randoneur (heavy duty)

Lots of 1987-1988 Cannondale road bikes came with T-430s, but they are getting hard to find now. They measure 20 mm wide and about 13.5 mm deep. They were replaced by the similar GTX in 1989. Cannondale gradually phased out the use of Wolber rims on the road bikes in favor of Mavic and Sun. I think the last Wolber rims on Cannondales were the model 59s used on the 1993 H800.
