I have an R400 cannondale that I bought about a year ago to replace a bike that was stolen. I want to learn more about it. I have trying to decipher the serial number but can’t figure it out based on the information cannondale provides about how serial numbers can be used to learn about your bike. The format of the serial number is the following:
FYI:
Numbers and letters are made up but there are numbers where the numbers are and letters where the letters are.
123456AB12345
1ABC1A 12
Note: the “12” should appear farther over to the right under the “45.”
If anyone can help me understand this format, that’d be great. Again, I tried to use the website to determine the year and manufacture date and model number and so forth but they didn’t seem to have a serial number format which matched the one I have.
