Seat clamp for 89 Black Lightning

I noticed after a long ride that the nose of my Brooks B17 saddle was pointing up slightly, which is not good for the crotch area. I took the saddle off and noticed that the clamp that holds it to the post has a hole ground into it from the level adjustment screw. I was wondering if it was normal to have an indention in the clamp where the level screw hits it? The hole in this clamp is 2.7 mm deep at the deepest point. Are clamp types such as this even made anymore? If not, I guess I will need a new seat post and clamp. Or, if I can find someone who welds aluminum, would it be advisable to see if they can fill that hole? Our club ride leader works at a big recreational boat manufacturing facility here, so I am sure someone there can weld aluminum.

I would think that you could drill a hole in the clamp for the level adjustment screw.
I don't think there is supposed to be a hole there at all. It looks like over time, the level adjustment screw has ground a hole into the plate so deep that the adjustment screw doesn't even work anymore.

I think that I misinterpreted your problem. I thought you meant that the offending screw was on the saddle, but it's apparently the adjusting screw on the post. What brand of post? If the adjustment screw is seized, it's likely due to corrosion. If you can't loosen it up you are probably going to need another post.
