Not one, but two, primo condition 1989 SM400 mountain bikes

Looks like someone bought a couple of his & hers bikes back in 1989 and took mighty good care of them. They look all original. Even the tires. Craigslist in Springfield, Missouri. One even mentions coming with the owners manual.

This is the first that I've read about Cannondale having two types of mountain frame geometries.

I like the blue colored one. Except for the stem. I have never seen a picture of one that tall. I had no idea such a thing existed.

I bet a sloping top tube model would be a rare find.

I believe that is just some type of extension that the original stem is attached to, hence the hole for the front brake cable routing. I'm sure that would be easy to remove.
