Highest touring model seen

I'd like to know which models had the aero style internally lugged forks that bridged between the periods of proper fork crowns (80s) and unicrowns (early 90s).

Thanks for that additional information. I was hoping that this info would be added to over time to make a comprehensive catalog of Cannondale touring bicycles.
Signaling out bottom bracket height is interesting, since it is a big part of what makes a touring bike specific to it's task.

We'll get it ironed out eventually, but, the 1992 catalog lists the T600 as being Champaign in color. In reality the color of that bicycle was changed to some type of blue after the catalog printing was finalized. I've never seen another color on that model other than the blue.
Also the Battleship Gray used on the 2001 T2000 was a metallic color. (See photo).
The abbreviation for Titanium is Ti, not tit, referring to the 1997 T1000 color.

I wondered who would Ti my tit, but I might remove it anyway - not going down the decal colour road, although I could denote the plain from the outlined or shadow lined? I'm sure that black wasn't supposed to be like BBQ, but there's very few photos of the 97 T2000 to reference. I am happy to make alterations/corrections. Do we want any extra information?

As for the prev question regarding fork crowns, clearly the 1990 T1000 has the aero style crown - do you think it was a top model thing only?

I was in my LBS the other day for supplies and saw a 1997 T2000 being worked on; wheels getting trued. It looked minty.

My 1990 ST600 has a unicrown but my 1990 ST400 has the traditional lugged fork. I think they probably used the lugged forks until they ran out of them and that was that.

I think that having a column that shows which frame the model had would be nice (3.0, CAAD2, CAAD3, etc.).
I haven't said anything about forks because that is a big complicated subject. A lot of it has to do with suppliers, such as Tange, and what their product development departments are coming up with. I have no idea how the relationships between bicycle companies and the component companies work.

A 91 ST600 and a 97 T2000. Both 23". Awaiting builds. Not easy to put two of these bare frame sets together for a photoshoot in the UK. My 23" 95 T700 is all built.

Those look nice. How do you plan to build? I could see doing one with period correct parts, and one with modern.

You guessed right. The black one may get 9 speed. The ST600 will be brochure spec, I just need a new rear hub bearing cup from somewhere. I doubt the original Suntour hub will allow me to remove the pitted one without some grief...
