Just did some servicing on a 2000 Cannondale MT-2000 tandem.
I was looking in the 2000 catalog and it lists these forks:
MT-4000 fork: Headshok MOTO FR Tandem
MT-2000 fork: Headshok MOTO FR
I'm wondering if that's a typo.
I've also see V1000's with the Headshok MOTO FR fork.
Are there 2 versions? single & tandem? Why would a tandem not have a tandem version? How can I tell them apart?
I see the earlier MT-2000 had a Pepperoni Tandem Fork. I assume the Tandem version is beefier. Anyone know if they are steel or aluminum? The owner says the stock Headshok MOTO FR fork is too mushy for his riding and would consider a rigid fork. Reading through the Headshok MOTO FR manual, it lists "red" springs for heavier riders and Suspension Fork Parts has an elastomer kit for heavier riders.
