Your grandfather's bike appears to be a touring frame but I haven't tracked down the exact year and model. The T1000 was Iceland Green for a couple of years in the mid 1990s. Since it doesn't appear to have a model decal, he could have built it from a frameset. I would look for a 1994 or 1995 T1000 frame.
