Chase- Van Halen, HELP!

Good afternoon! New here and I'm trying to get as much info on the Chase VH frames. I've adopted one and I want to know about her family. How many got out into the wild, etc. The factory couldn't help much as they have no records of the frame, so I'm told. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What detail is needed. It's an '08 Chase VH Edition. I'm trying to find out how many exist. I know of 2, one being mine. The Factory doesn't have records on how many went out the door. The serial number look-up/bar code was useless. I really want to know how rare it is. If there's 1000, I'll ride it, if there are 2, I'll ride it even more.

I personally think there are more of them....the story itself is interesting but as far as I can see Cannondale is nowhere or pointed out Van Halen’s name in the catalog

Evidently only sold with that paint as a frameset. I wouldn't think that there are many out there.

You have a very rare Chase. Yes, (sold only as a frame.) Not a lot of these were sold because the Chase was dying. The Chase alone are getting hard to find. I think this frame was the last year for Chase 07, maybe 08 was the last of 1 model. I am a 2007 Chase owner. Set it up like yours for my kids on 24's. I love these frames.

Aaron Chase holds up his 2012 Cannondale dirt jump hardtail

according to available data, it was produced until 2009.....so this 2012 photo is confusing

I worked at Cannondale at the time this frame was released but can’t confirm exactly how many were made, but it wasn’t a lot due to the fact that shortly after they started shipping Cannondale was cease and desisted by Van Halen. He has the trademark design patent on that color scheme.

Hey! Unreal that I saw this posting just this recently, I also have one of these frames! Love the bike, she’s old but still solid, and it’s pretty bad-ass that they’re as rare as they are.

I have one , I live in NewZealand and it’s the only one I know of here , it’s a 2008 Chase VH . Can confirm as someone has already stated , EVH was pretty adamant over his ‘Frankenstein’ design so these were a short run by Cannondale because of the cease and desist .
They only came as a frame , small/med/large . Mine is a medium , still mint ( seriously it’s still like new ) beautifully made and painted frame .
I built mine with hand picked parts to compliment this . It’s been hanging up for easily the past decade . I love just looking at it now .
