It came out nice, did you do the paint removal or pay to have it done? I have removed the paint on a couple of bikes , 94 Super V 2000 and 94 Delta V 600, and am in the process of redoing the paint job to the 1994 Super V becuase I am never satisfied..plus I am putting a Lefty on it.

I Sandblasted the frame and forks, Took some time but it's cleaner than using paint stripper. Re newing old cannondales is such a blast, wish I could do this for a living. Greetings from Germany :)

You did an incredible job. I would say you went way beyond just renewing this Super V. I'd say you improved it.
Want to come do my Super V for me?

It's Not a Problem for me but I am from Germany and shipping + language Barrier might be a Problem but I can help you with knowlegde if you want

The last time I painted this bike I had to hand sand off the old paint, which takes a lot of time and effort. To be honest it is the only part of renewing a old bike I dislike. Hopefully, I will avoid the mistake I made the last time where I left a thumb print in the clear coat as you can see in the picture. It's driven me crazy ever since, so I want to change some things on the bike, like adding a Lefty DLR 100 to it among other things, so now is the time to fix the paint. Of course I also want to change the color too.
As much as I like the original black to silver faded paint. I already have two other black bikes, so I am going to repaint this one in a color that Cannondale didn't do on the Super V until the 98 Super V 700.

It's Handmade and with the fingerprint you let people See that in my opinion :) I brought my frame to a professionell paint Shop and it costs about 400 Euro but the quality speaks for itself. Even the decals integrated in the clear Coat is a must on those frames and there a many colours to choose from. I considert Powder Coat because of longevity but you cant get it with the decals under the clear Coat. In my opinion the lefty doesn't fit optically in the super V frame, fatty is the way to go. It's youre frame and you can Do whatever you want with it :) on this Project I cut off the V-Brake mounts on the rear to make it disc only and it gave it a cleaner Look too.

One of my other ideas that is similar to the Sobe decals is to make something similar to the F2000 SX . Can't go wrong with USA themed 1994 Cannondale right?

The hard part would be how to merge the top tube and down tube decals onto the single down tube of the Super V frame.
