Cannondale M2000 1995 catalogue question

Hi all,

I am planning to build a period correct 1995 Cannondale M2000, the last fully rigid Cannondale top model with the 2.8 mountain frame (later from 1996 onwards called CAAD 3).

I know the catalogue specs - complete Shimano XT, except for Crank (Coda 501M) and brake levers (Coda 900M, rebranded DiaCompe), but also know that the real delivered bikes often differed from the catalogue specs.

Does anyone have a picture of a 1995 Cannondale M2000 that show it with some original components? I cannot find any on the internet :)

I am particularly interested in confirming which

  • brake levers
  • breakset (XT canti or Coda Canti?)
  • crank set
  • stem
  • handlebar

Was used.

Many thanks for any help or pictures :)

I would build it as close to the catalog spec as you can manage. I bought an M900 new in 1995 and I don't recall that it had any components that differed from the catalog spec.
