I love Elevated chain stay bikes. I would leave the Nishiki alone. What parts are you after? I had 87 SM500's I may have extra parts.. no brakes though if you only have 1.. that will be your hardest part to find.
Hey Brian. So I've taken the Alien on two long rides....very nice riding bike. One owner well cared for. And serial #88 so an early one. Smbuild has been a challenge since I opened the box. Should've just held out for a complete bike. I've restored a few 70s road bikes and have parts for those. I really like how the 24/26 feels so I wanted to build a 26 Cannondale. Brakes I do have! Paint and decals look awesome. I'm already stuck at the bottom bracket. (Width) I'll figure it out eventually. Thanks for the interest, Kevin

Found a bottom bracket that is right width. I had these cranks that are in very nice condition. They more modern than original. Spin smooth, though.

Done for now..... got in a couple fit and finish rides. Feels cramped compared to a 24/26. Would like to end up with period correct suntour components and a riser bar. Bikes rides awesome, though. Can't say enough about the roller cam brakes. I like building them, setting them up and the stopping power is pretty impressive. This build was way out of my wheelhouse and I learned a lot.

Looks great. I have at least one pair of the roller cam brakes but have never tried them. Lots of SunTour stuff on hand here and I'm not doing much bike building these days. Let me know what you're looking for.

I got tons of memories, lots of aches and pains, much less and rapidly graying hair.. Did I mention the aches and pains?
Seriously, it's a nice reward for for your dedication to your job. The bike is even nicer though!
