2007 Cannondale Six13 Team 2 54cm - Cassette and Chain Info Needed

I have a 2007 Cannondale Six13 Team 2 54cm bicycle. I'm looking to use the bike on a TacX 2 Trainer and need to purchase a cassette and new chain for the unit.

From information I gathered the cassette is a Shimano Ultegra 10-speed : 12-25 cassette.

Would this be the same cassette in a 12/25T size?

Does anyone know what chain was used on the bike or a compatible chain that I could buy?

Thanks!

The Amazon cassette is what came on your bike except for large cog size. You can use any Shimano 10 speed cassette of roughly the same ratio. You can get a Tiagra 11-25 for $36 at Universal Cycles:

That's the way I'd go for lots of trainer use. The extra weight of Tiagra vs. Ultegra won't make any difference on the trainer.

Cannondale used chains matching the group in that era. Your bike probably came with an Ultegra chain, 6700 or 6701. If you look on the side plates it should be marked.

You can use most any 10 speed chain. Nothing wrong with Shimano but I usually buy KMC as their connector link makes it easy to install. I've used the X10 chains on dozens of bikes. I'm pretty sure the 6701 comes with a drive-in connector pin but you can use a KMC quick link with it.

I really appreciate the answers. I have a few more questions if you don't mind.

Do you know the size wrench that I need to use with the 2007 Six13 Team 2. Is it a 17mm? or another size?

https://www.amazon.com/Park-Tool-SC...ywords=bike+17mm+Wrench&qid=1608871539&sr=8-2

My girlfriend has a 2016 Cannondale Synapse Carbon Tiagra 6 C 48". We got her the following cassette for her Tacx trainer. The question is that it says 11-32T, but what was strange was the Bicyclebluebook site said the cassette was a Shimano HG500, 12-30, 10-speed (included link below). I couldn't find any cassette for the HG500 that was 12-30, they were all listed as 11-32T

https://www.bicyclebluebook.com/value-guide/product/3061312/

I'm assuming the following chain will work with her bike?
https://www.amazon.com/SHIMANO-Tiag...47728&pd_rd_wg=5v4yA&pd_rd_i=B00VTSHF50&psc=1

Do you know what wrench size I need for her Synapse bike like the park tool I listed above? Is it a 17mm or different size?

Lastly, do you possibly have a link for the 2007 Six13 Team 2 manual in PDF format? I couldn't find one online anywhere. On this site it has the 2007 catalog but nothing more.

What is the intended use of the wrenches? The Park that you linked is intended for servicing hub bearings.

The recent Cannondale catalogs oddly don't list what cassettes were supplied. I couldn't find a new or used 12-30 HG500 cassette for sale, so I'm guessing that the Blue Book got it wrong. You can get a 12-28 or 11-25/32/34.

The Tiagra chain will work fine on her bike, as will the upper models (105, Ultegra, Dura-Ace) and KMC.

It's been a long time since I bought a new Cannondale so I haven't seen a recent owner's manual. Historically they have been generic for a given brand, mostly listing basic safety and warranty information with nothing specific to a given model. If you are looking for information on maintenance there are a number of books available, by Bicyling magazine, Leonard Zinn, Fred Milson, Ed Pavelca, and Eugene Sloane. Some were first printed decades ago but much of the information will still be useful. I don't know which ones are the most recent or have the most recent updates.
