Hi all!

I'm on a search for a 20" yellow 1998 M900 frame, but would also be keen on a M500 or any model from this era with the rigid P Bone fork.
I would prefer a frame with the original fork, but will also take one without if available.

I live in South Australia so would need it posted.

Cheers!

The 1998 catalog I have shows the M900 in Storm Blue Fade and Polar Silver. Speed Yellow was the Cannondale yellow circa 1997-8 and Team Yellow was common for a few years later. I don't see yellow in the whole MTB line in the 1998 catalog, except for Speed Yellow forks and swingarms on a couple of models. That is not to say that what you want doesn't exist, as Cannondale shipped lots of bikes to other markets that don't match USA specs.

Ah cool thanks for that info, yeah it must be the 97 I'm after then!

I have a 18" M700 which is just a bit too small for me, so a 20" would be perfect!

I read the bike classifieds like “normal” folks would read the news. With my morning coffee. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for you Ben.

The 1996 catalog shows a yellow M900 with the P Bone fork.

I visited South Australia (for work) many moons ago. I have fond memories. At least the ones that happened before too many pints :)

Cheers Mate

Haha nice one thanks!

Yeah the M series are hard to find in Australia, Ive seen a few M900 and M500 frames come up over the years in the states and Europe, but usually never the right size for me and postage is real expensive!

I got this M700 a while back and use it as a commuter with a 1x9 setup.
I've managed to make it work, but ideally a 20" frame would be better than the 18" as I am 188cm tall.
I have two rigid P Bone forks that are also very hard to find and I'm holding on to those ones as spares, but I might put one on this M700 as they have longer steerer's than the stock fork, so would help to get the stem a little higher for me, plus the P Bones look much better!

So I would even be keen on a M series frame without a fork as I have spare P Bone's and would just need to get them colour matched with fresh decals.

Thanks again for your help!
