1-1/4 " Threadless stem adaptor/conversion

So I don't hijack the post from JonK about his Innicycle adapter I thought I would create a seperate post. I received the reply from Innicycle this morning. Talk about a great customer service response time which speaks volumes in today's world of poor customer service experiences for most products.
Here is the text of the e-mail.
Hi John,

Thanks for your email! We have had some scattered requests for a 1 1/4" threaded fork version of the innicycle. Aside from the very small market for such a headset, the other big roadblock is available threadless stem options. Because of how the innicycle is designed, any threadless stem that gets used must necessarily be at least 1/8" larger in diameter than the threaded fork. As far as I know, no one has ever made a 1 3/8" threadless stem. 1.5" is out there in small numbers so it's possible to adapt something without needing to make a fully custom setup.

If this is really something you want to do, we can put together some numbers on what a very small batch would cost. As I've seen the request before, I figure we could eventually move 10 of these units assuming the customers were not sensitive to price. As a rough estimate, I'd expect something like this to need to sell for at least $250 to make it worthwhile on our end.

Best,
Joe"

Looks like the bottom line is that it would be "doable" but there would be a couple of caveats. Namely, having to use a 1.5 stem(or possibly a Headshok/Lefty 1.56) which are hard to find but not as hard as decent 1-1/4" threaded stems and headsets. The other is the high cost per unit, which as Joe pointed out would be due to the low volume of production for them. I would be interested in hearing if any others with 1-1/4" forks who would possibly consider this as an option as see what others think.

Does anyone make a 1 1/4" quill to threadless adapter? Simple to make but surely weighs quite a bit more than the Innicycle setup.
Nitto does make one. I have it installed on my M700 in fact.

31.8mm (1-1/4" fork) to 28.6mm (1-1/8" threadless stem).

It works great, however it does not leave much room from adjusting stack height. I would have to double check the measurements to be 100% certain, but with the adapter inserted to the line I have 10 mm of extra space.
