    Touring Chainring Removal Issue

Yeah, there is a slotted nut on the underside. I originally thought same as you that it screwed into the arm. I tried to capture the image in the second pic, but it is hard to see. There is so little space between the slotted nut and the arm, I may need to take an old screwdriver and grind it...

    Touring Chainring Removal Issue

Ok, so on my 2000 T2000 I removed the drive side to tear the chainrings to clean the whole thing up and ran into an issue where the nut on the spider where the crank arm is is intentionally installed upside down to be able to tighten it. But my Park Tool slotted nut tool does not fit in the tiny...

letsbike: Yes, it has the fork bosses brazed on from the factory to hold the front pannier frame. No, the tires are new old stock. I also have a set of Continental Ride Tour tires. I am going to try both to see which i like better. I have a new pic attached that show the bosses.

    Cannondale T2000 V-Brakes Noodle Query

Ok I am installing a front pannier rack on it and the v-brakes have, instead of a standard noodle, some sort of roller thing. It is in the way of the rack due to its' thickness. Can this be replaced with a standard noodle or is this the preferred noodle for heavy touring?

    Wanted ST-1000 Touring Bike

Yeah, I am looking for a Cannondale that runs full panniers front and rear, touring comfort geometry and full fenders that I can load down and do long distance bike treks. I am open to other options/models that fit the bill.
