Decided to put on decals before clear coat. Going let paint cure a while longer and less humidity type weather. How should I prep for clear coat? Would it be ok to just wipe down and spray?

Went with to give the nozzle a try. A bit darker than ford engine blue. Happy with the result. I'll let this cure a while then do another coat. Then clear.

I found a set of new old stock decals in silver. ( they appear to be anyways, have the made in USA seat tube decal, top tube and head tube. So, I wonder what color of frame set these would have been on? Really like the blue, so leaning on a close match.

This is all good info. I’ve dug around the catalogues and see that 89 600 same geo frame without the pepperoni fork. Maybe that’s better in a way bc not 11/4 headset. I really just like how sloping top tube/ high bottom bracket look. And feel roomy when in the rough stuff.

I’m the hunt for beast of the East, 92ish or one that has the 1 1/4 headset. I’ve read that all M800’s are this geometry with high bottom bracket, but why do some not say beast of the East on rear of chain stay? Just says 3.0 series competition series.

Literally 1 min from my house in north Madison on the route. We go to Geneva on the lake on most sundays during the summer. Lots of wineries popping up around here last couple years

Madison. Northeast Ohio Near the lake between Cleveland and Erie pa. Small town good for biking. Some trails for mtbing. Rays indoor bike park is must do spot if you haven’t already.

I did see your old bike, the SM600. I’m not familiar with the hostel council. I’ll have to look up info on that. I had no idea how popular Cannondale is around the world.
