It would be interesting to see production figures for every model produced. Lacking that, we have to judge rarity based on what we see - and that is probably highly influenced by what our interests are, and where we live.

I have never seen welds left unfinished. Wonder if the frame went out the door for some reason before it was finished.

It's hard to generalize about different years. In 1995 the 2.8 and 3.8 frames were both offered in 14" (16"/16.2" to top of seat tube), while the smallest KV size was 15" (16.7" to top of seat tube). The 14" 3.8 was KV style, while the 14" 2.8 was not. In 1996 the CAAD3 M500 and M900 in 14"...

Hanging them from a ceiling is probably the most space efficient way. I have hooks in the floor joists in my basement that allow me to hang bikes vertically. Another way would be a long rod suspended from the ceiling with S hooks to hang the bikes on. That would allow adjusting them as close...
