    Bearings for my 1996 T1000

I found the hub, it's a 901. Dust caps are such a tight fit that I can't budge them. How did you remove yours? Bearings appear to be 6903, 30 mm x 17 mm x 7 mm...

    New but Vintage

Zipp started out in Indianapolis and I'm pretty sure was run by a guy who used to build parts for CART (Indy 500) teams. The team I worked for did some business with him. His name escapes me at the moment but somewhere I have a tape measure with his name.

Hopefully the owner of a Cannondale :)

There seems to be a decent supply of older Cannondales in the UK. I'm sure you will be able to locate one that fits your needs.

    Identifying Cannondale

It's a 2012 Quick CX 1. The catalog is here: https://www.cannondale.com/-/media/files/manual-uploads/manuals/2012_mensrecurban_cusa.pdf There have been a few Quick CX recent sales on ebay, but all lower models than the CX 1...

Hi, could anyone help pls identify?

After taking a closer look, I agree with roKWiz. The unfinished welds are enough evidence that it is not a Cannondale.

    Bearings for my 1996 T1000

Don't hesitate to remind me, repeatedly if it comes to that. I try to check in here at least twice a day but once I leave the site my mind is otherwise engaged.

Hopefully the owner of a Cannondale :)

Hi Nick, I'm not sure how to respond. Did you buy a bike that you are not sure of?

Thanks for posting the vintage pictures. What year were you running Zipp disc wheels?

Hi, could anyone help pls identify?

Is there a bar code on the underside of the bottom bracket shell?

    Bearings for my 1996 T1000

I have a new Coda hub in the shop. Believe that it's a 900 model. I'll try to remember to look at it next time I'm there but it may be a few days. Bump the thread if you don't hear back from me.

    POLL: to vintage or not.

I think of Sachs as a company primarily involved in small engine related stuff. Now that you mention it I believe that I have seen Sachs branded clutches for 5.9 L Cummins engines. I wish they had not abandoned the bike parts area. Even though made by several different companies, the Sachs...

    1995 C600 headset size.....anyone?

I saw the C600 in the 1994 USA catalog, but the scan that you posted is clearly in the style of the 1995 catalog rather than the 1994. I haven't checked the catalog scans you linked but I'm guessing that you are looking at a 1995 model.

    Bearings for my 1996 T1000

I would just get the same part number bearing at the bearing store. SKF brand if possible. Be aware that there are counterfeit SKF bearings out there and they are difficult to distinguish from genuine. I'd guess that you have a better chance of landing genuine ones in Europe than we have in...

Just looking for model and year

Does it have the Sugino crank or Shimano? I think the pink only appeared on 1987 frames and wasn't used again until after Simoni won the Giro for Saeco team in 2003. To me it's the iconic color for 1987 Cannondales. Someone in the marketing department must have liked it because pink bikes...

    1995 C600 headset size.....anyone?

I have never owned a hybrid Cannondale but the road, MTB, and touring frames I've seen all had ISO headsets. Tange made plenty of them with both standards. Yes, 22.2 would be the stem diameter for a 1" headset. I don't know about the rear spacing, have never had my hands on a hybrid. I've...

Just looking for model and year

Looks to be a 1988 model, the 42nd frame produced on April 14th. Beyond that the components will be the best clues to fix the model. I believe that the only 1988 24"/26" model was the SM600. Check out the 1988 catalog and see if any of your components are a match.

    POLL: to vintage or not.

I have New Success on several road bikes but have never experimented with using other derailleurs. Some folks claim that Shimano RDs work with Sachs shifters. I have read that Campagnolo and Sachs developed the Ergo levers jointly, but that may not be accurate. My guess is that Sachs helped...

Just looking for model and year

Pretty sure it's been repainted. 26" wheels front and rear? Have a look for the serial number on the underside of chainstay or seatstay. 6 speed XT? Model number on the crank? Dia-Compe U brakes front and rear? That's unusual, front cantilever and rear U brake was the usual setup.

    1995 C600 headset size.....anyone?

Where did you find that catalog page? It doesn't appear in my 1995 USA catalog. I'm fairly certain that it will be a 1" headset. Cannondale generally used Tange Seiki ME-II headsets on the hybrid models in that era.

    The Rarest Cannodale MTB 1990s/2000s

Tough to build anything from a bare frame and come out with a bike worth what you put into the build, unless you have all the parts laying around and don't have any money in them. What year was the Good Boy made?
