    Chase- Van Halen, HELP!

I haven't seen one of those before. The picture you posted doesn't show much detail.

Wanted Downtube Shifter Boss / cable stop mounts

I am not sure what you are suggesting. I think that it might be possible to thread a small diameter aluminum tube to accept the screws for down tube cable adjusters. You would have to be careful not to over tighten them as you could distort the down tube. If I can find the time I might give...

What is my 83 cannondale worth?

I'd estimate somewhere around $200. You might get a bit more for it right now considering that new bikes are still in short supply.

    Unknown model

Agree with Brian. 16" frame built on November 4th, 1986 (so surely a 1987 model). The 92nd frame built that day. Frame color appears to match the SM600 but should have had pink decals. Wouldn't be the first Cannondale to get decals that don't show in the catalog, but I don't know how to tell...

    1990 SM400

Is it a screw or a rivet on the chain stay? Either way I think its function was to plug a vent hole during the welding of the frame. I think you need to push the plastic pins through the cable guides with a small punch. It's not something I have done but you can probably rattle the pins out...

    1983-1986 Decals Back in Stock.

Good to see them. How many sets? Why the last run?

Yes, that's the original. Check out the ones for sale and sold on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/284042813983?hash=item422245621f:g:JPcAAOSwmyZfbK7V...

    1991 SR600 66cm

Looks to be original except for saddle, seatpost, front wheel, and TT decal.

Any surface scratches can lead to stress being concentrated and ultimately cracking. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stress_concentration

I would start with files to get the rough edges smoothed down. From there I might use sanding discs or perhaps hand sand.

    tandem wheels from a cannondale?

Interesting wheels, but I don't immediately place them as being original to a Cannondale tandem.

    1988 Black lightning.

Wow, nice to see one that's so original. I'd consider swapping out the saddle for something more common just to preserve the original. Those Cinelli saddles bring a lot of money in nice condition.

Fresh donation at the local bike coop. ST1000?

Looks like you have it right, 126 spaced 25" T1000 built in June 1991. Too bad it wasn't better taken care of, and it looks like most of the original parts are gone. That said I might be interested in it. All of my Cannondale touring bikes are caliper brake models.

    CAAD9 Restomod

It's looking good. I'm a bit surprised about the tire clearance as most of my Cannondales will fit a 28 mm tire, even tires that tend toward the larger range of 28s. I have a Six fork here, believe it's a 2009 model. I will have to compare clearance on it with the fork on my 2010 CAAD9. I...

    1990 SM400

Should make a nice gravel bike. Be sure to smooth out all the gouges on the drive side chain stay to reduce the chance of cracking.

    Buying a used Cannondale...maybe

I agree that it's a bit overpriced compared to what it might have sold for 2-3 years ago. On the other hand it looks to be in good shape and shouldn't need much work in the near future. I wouldn't worry about its age at all, so for me it would come down to how it compares to other options in...

    Chris Germany - M1000

Looks to be in great condition. Does it have SunTour XC Comp components? I agree with chumaman, looks to be a 1993 M1000 with a KV frame - which doesn't show in the catalogs. Note that they had been building the Delta V frames for a couple of years, so the design was already in production...
