I have at least one pair of NOS roller cam brakes in the parts box but have never used them. I'm looking at a 1985 Cannondale that might be a good place for them.

I've never used paper that fine on one. 800-1000 grit and some Mother's or Simichrome and they look great.

I'm guessing that they were made in other years but they may not show in the catalogs.

Are you sanding the anodizing off the crank or just cleaning it up? I've done the sand/polish routine on a Coda crank, was kind of a chore.

They show in the 1997-1999 catalogs and were generally equipped similar to F700 or F900. They came with 36 spoke wheels and a more upright bar stem combination than the F700 and F900.

The finish was actually called Full Wood and I think it was only available in the 2002 model year. There was an alternate finish on the F1000 that year. I've never seen one outside of the catalog. It would take some participation here from someone from Cannondale with access to production...
