I only have one Taiwan built Cannondale, a CAADX cyclocross from about 15 years ago. Purchased new as a frameset. It's been a great bike. Disappointing to hear that you've had problems. It's hard to comment without seeing some photos of the issue.

Will be interested to hear what you bought and how well it works. I've never had one that worked consistently. Still have half a dozen or so new ones (ACT brand) that were evidently cheap on eBay because they don't work very well, and I've had Nashbar, Performance, and Polar in the past.

It would be interesting to get a working HRM and see what my rates are these days. According to the 200 bpm minus age rule my max would be 10-20 lower now than I used to average.

Pretty sure 2000 was the only year for yellow CX frames. I have a 2000 in silver, wish it was yellow.

I couldn't find a 2008 Europe catalog. Maybe if you try the Cannondale site you can get one. US 2008 Bad Boys used Sun DS-2 rims.

I don't recall the G Star Raw. It is possible that the DT sticker on the rim referred to the spokes rather than the rim.

I don't think there was ever a connection between Sun and DT. Looking at the 2007 Europe catalog, several Bad Boy models came with Cannondale Bad Boy Disc rims. Perhaps they were made by DT. Other Bad Boys came with Mavic A317 or XC-717 rims.

I don't think the quadwrap decals on the blue frame were available in 1997 so it's either a 1998 or 1999. Team Blue with yellow decals was available on the 1999 R4000 but that was a CAAD4 frame and I think the one in the ad is a CAAD3. Doesn't look to have a model number so it could be a...

By pinch shape do you mean that the side of the rim is concave? What was the original rim? The USA catalog lists Sun rims on 2007 Bad Boys.

For some touch up work I would try to mix some yellow and orange. It will take some experimenting but I would think you can get it pretty close. I think I have some 1997 Mango which would be close but you can probably come up with something just as good mixing model car paint.

Yes those last two digits are the size. On some models it's SM, MD, LG, XL.
