I have always loved SE's. This is my 4th SE2000, I have owned 5 2000's and 2 1000's. My current SE1000 is perfect, I do not need 2. :) My SE obsession started late though in 1999.

your 88 SM600 with a 24" rear is a rare bike. The last year for 24" rear. I am a huge fan of the 26x24. It looks in good shape. No way would I touch it. These bikes are survivors. The only time i feel a full repaint is it the paint is gone, or needs to be blasted due to corrosion. I would clean...

98 and 99 are the v1 raven, 2k is v2. You deff have a V1 Raven (my fav raven). I believe you have a 99 Raven 700 made in 98: https://vintagecannondale.com/year/1999/1999V2.pdf 99 was a screwy year for decals and paint. Some bikes have slight different decals etc.
